Ethlyn Hall
(September 12, 1916 - January 7, 2010)

Ethlyn Hall, 93, of Barnum died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010 in Mercy Health Care Center in Moose Lake. She was born Sept. 12, 1916 in Vivian, Louisiana to David and Mary Shelton. Ethlyn married Charles Hall on Jan. 23, 1944 in Bossier City, Louisiana. After WWII they made their home in Barnum and together they raised two sons. Spending time with family was very important to Ethlyn.

She was a member of the Skelton Township Friendly Club. Working in the yard, vegetable and flower gardening was a large part of their summer activity. Ethlyn worked at the Barnum Fairgrounds for several years.

Ethlyn was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; son, Bernard; daughter-in-law, Wendy Hall; brothers, Willard, Alfred, Hardin, Driggs “Buddy”, and Sidney Shelton; and sister, Eddie Radcliff.

She is survived by her son, Lee (Pamela) Hall of Moose Lake; daughter-in-law, Lynne Hall of Barnum; six grandchildren, Jeramy, Mathew, Sara, Lonnie, and William Hall and Tammy Peterson; seven great grandchildren, Alexander and Hunter Fetters, Justin, Brandon, and Cole Peterson; and Jasmine and Zander Hall; one brother, Raymond (Mary Ruth) Shelton of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 1 until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010 in the Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet. A time of lunch and fellowship will follow in the Fireside Room of the funeral home. Burial will be in the spring in Riverside Cemetery in Barnum.
